Rather than having traditional churches or temples, The Chitterling's holy places take the form of restaurants. These restaurants are staffed by animatronic pigs and serve foods such as cheeseburgers, ribs, and seafood. He requires flesh sacrifices from some of the patrons of the chapel, but not all, with sacrifices being chosen at random among customers. In exchange, he grants people satisfied appetites and food. The meat served at Hallowed Hoagies is referred to as being from the Chitterling's herds, implying a role in rearing livestock, as well as in consumption. [1]
